Your Low Cost Tattoo Removal Options
Going through the process of having your tattoo scrubbed from your skin can be a long and expensive endeavor. Most people don’t have much discretionary income so they ultimately end up looking for low cost tattoo removal alternatives. Not many of us have a lot of money to spend right now. I know that hospitals are even seeing a sharp decrease in the number of patients that they have. People just aren’t spending their money on unnecessary health care. Elective surgery and procedures are being forgone until times are better for them financially.
Tatoo removal is one of those elective procedures. None the less, it’s a procedure that’s important to many people. Many people have ugly homemade tattoos. Just because they don’t have a lot of extra money right now doesn’t mean they still aren’t interested in cheap tattoo removal.
The most expensive tattoo removal methods are tattoo laser treatment, dermabrasion, IPL or intense pulsed light, reverse tattooing, and surgical tattoo excision. In some cases you might qualify for free tattoo removal if you are an ex gang member and you’re trying to better your life.
Tattoo removal prices can range from thousands of dollars if you go to a doctor who uses tattoo removal lasers to a hundred dollars or less if you use tattoo removal creams or TCA tattoo removal products. I get emails from people almost daily telling me about how bad they want their tattoo removed. The two questions that I get every time are.
- How much do you think it will cost me to have my tattoo removed? They go on to say that they don’t have a lot of money to spend so they really need to find some cheap tattoo removal procedure.
- Does tattoo removal balm really work? Since they can’t afford to spend the money on the doctors with expensive tattoo removal lasers, they are really hoping to hear that they can use a tattoo cream to fade their tattoo away. They don’t want to feel like they are wasting their hard earned money on something that won’t work.
It’s difficult for me to give a straight answer about how much it’s going to cost them to have their tattoo removed. I know they are only interested in low cost tattoo removal or they wouldn’t be asking me the question. Since the laser method can cost thousands of dollars, I know that they aren’t inquiring about how much that will cost.
One of the factors in determining how expensive it will be to have your tattoo removed is the size of the tattoo. It stands to reason that a large tattoo is going to cost more to remove with tattoo cream. The reason for this is that you will need to use more of the product to cover the larger area.
Another factor in their quest for low cost tattoo removal is the amount of tattoo ink that is in the tattoo. Some tattoos are very light outline tattoos. Others are solid dark black tribal tattoos. It’s easy to understand why a tattoo with a lot of ink in it would take longer to remove. Because there is more ink in it, the person who wants their tattoo removed will have to apply the cream for a longer period of time. Since you are applying if over a longer time period, you are obviously going to use more of the product. This is going to raise the cost of the tattoo.
One thing that people who are set on using the tattoo removal lasers may want to think about is using tattoo removal cream for a while to pre fade the tattoo. Popular companies that sell tattoo removal products are Ink Busters, Nuviderm, and Wrecking Balm. This way when you do go into the doctor for the treatment, you might not have to go in for as many sessions. These sessions can cost several hundred dollars a session. If the tattoo is already somewhat faded, it stands to reason that you won’t have to go in for as many sessions and you can get closer to your initial goal having cheap tattoo removal.
If you are serious about having your tattoo removed on the cheap, think about using an at home tatto removal product like Wrecking Balm, Nuviderm, Dermasal, or Rejuvi. Both Wrecking Balm and Ink Busters offer great satisfaction guarantees.
- Ink Busters Guarantee: They say that if you use their product as directed for six months and you aren’t happy for any reason, return the unused portion to them for a full refund. They won’t refund the shipping hand handling costs but this still sounds like a pretty darn good guarantee to me. They also have a 30 days to return their product if you change your mind. As long as you haven’t used it and the seal is intact, they’ll give you your money back
- Wrecking Balm Guarantee: If you are not pleased with their product for any reason they will refund your money minus shipping and handling charges. You have 60 days to return if you buy the 24 application kit. You have 120 days to return if you buy the 48 application kit. You have 180 days to return if buy the 72 application kit. Again this is a pretty good policy.
With such great return policies on these two products, they must be pretty confident that you will be happy with the results. To me at least this seems like a very good low cost tattoo removal solution.

I’ve been looking for a fade-away cream for quite some time now. Laser is just too expensive so I settled for something thats easy on the wallet. I tried Tat-Med after seeing they were ranked #1 as the best tattoo fade away (must have been there own website). It was a mistake that costs me lots of money. Didn’t do anything for over a month. Just look at their ingredient list: distilled water, seaweed extract, marine algae, bearberry extract? Better to use a fade-away cream that have active and effictive ingredients than Tat-Med organic cream.
I got a terrible tattoo when I was 16. Have been thinking of laser for some time but too expensive and painful. Instead, I went with tattoo removing cream. Its worked pretty well but its taking longer than I though. Already 2 months into it and will probably need another 2 months before its really faded. Not cheap stuff, but easier on the wallet than laser.
My friend referred me to your blog, so I thought I’d come have a read. Very interesting material, will be back for more!
How long does this take to work?
