Things To Consider Before Getting A Tattoo
Tattoos are all the rage. They’ve always been popular to a certain extent but with TV programs like Miami Ink and Inked, the popularity of tattooing has sky rocketed. It’s super easy to get caught up in the craze. As a matter of fact, most people get tattoos on impulse as opposed to really thinking it through beforehand. They often find themselves looking for cheap tattoo removal.
Most of these people get together with their friends and mosey on in to a tattoo parlor to get inked. The majority of the time they have no idea what kind of tattoo they want. The just flip through the tattoo books in the shop and find something that catches their eye. The next thing you know they’re walking out of the shop with a tattoo of Daffy Duck on their ankle.
I’m not opposed to tattoos but I do think that people should really think things through before making the commitment to get one. After all, they don’t wash off with soap and water and unlike a piercing, you can’t just take it out. Tattoo removal cream works but it takes a long time.
Here are some things to think about before getting a tattoo:
- Try to avoid getting a tattoo on impulse. If you want to get a tattoo, that’s fine but really spend some time thinking about it. It’ a good idea to wear a temporary tattoo around for a while. There are some really great temporary tattoo designs and they last much longer than the ones that you used to find in Cracker Jack boxes. Many people find out that they are quite self conscious when they have a tattoo. They get the tattoo and then are nervous around people. They think that everyone is constantly staring at their tattoo. If you wear a temporary tattoo around for a while, you’ll have a good idea of whether or not you might like a permanent tattoo.
- Don’t get a tattoo just because your friends are doing it and by all means, don’t get the same tattoo as your BFF. Choose a design that you really like because you are the one who will have to live with it.
- Don’t get a tattoo that others might find offensive. It may seem funny to have a naked lady tattooed on your arm when you’re 18 and in the navy but when you’re 30 and trying to get a job, you’ll regret it.
- Don’t get tattoos in places on your body that can’t be easily hidden by clothing. Someday, an occasion will likely arise when you have to go somewhere and you don’t want your tattoo to show. A tattoo on your neck, face, or hand will be pretty hard to hide.
- Don’t tattoo the name of a girlfriend or boyfriend on yourself. Girlfriends and boyfriends come and go and most people end up regretting having the name of an ex-lover tattooed on them.
- Tattoo removal can be expensive if you have it removed with a laser, IPL, surgical tattoo excision, or dermabrasion. Be darn sure that you really want the tattoo before taking the plunge.
If you want to get a tattoo but you don’t want to worry about possible regret and the expense of tattoo removal, you might try getting henna tattoos. Henna tattoos are temporary and they are actually painted on you skin vs. having tattoo ink injected under your skin.
If you have some ugly cross tattoos or other ugly tattoo designs that you regret getting, the best tattoo removal method if your are on a budget istattoo removal cream like Wrecking Balm, Ink Busters, or Nuviderm to fade it.
